Harvard Papers in Botany (HPB) is a refereed, invite-only journal that publishes original contributions in mycology, botany, systematics, molecular phylogenetics, plant physiological ecology, and the history of botany. It is open to all those who wish to contribute, and publications are accepted in English or Spanish. Two issues are produced regularly per year.

### History

Harvard Papers in Botany was initiated in 1989 to consolidate the following journals published by the Harvard University Herbaria, which are all freely available in the Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL):
