Updates from the Paleo Collection
Curatorial Assistants in our paleobotanical collection, Carolyn Thornton and Mitchell Bryan, have been hard at work rehousing specimens in the type collection. This process includes removing accumulated dirt and dust, cleaning and rewriting labels, and moving the specimens into upgraded archival storage. The type collection contains published or otherwise significant fossil specimens and this project will facilitate their ongoing study and preservation. See the remarkable before and after below! Great work, team!
