[Diane M. Rielinger](/people/diane-rielinger), Digital Projects Librarian for the [Botany Libraries](/libraries), recently wrote a [blog post](http://blog.biodiversitylibrary.org/2017/01/orchidelirium-orchid-craze-takes.html) for the Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) about the popularity of orchids. In the blog, Diane shares several lovely images we have digitized as part of our participation with BHL. The [Biodiversity Heritage Library](http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/) is a consortium of major natural history, botanical, and research libraries that cooperate to digitize and make accessible the literature of biodiversity held in their collections as a part of a global "biodiversity commons."
