#  Pfister to Deliver Keynote Address at EMC 2026

The international mycology community will come together in Edirne, Türkiye, from 1–3 September 2026 for the [5th International Eurasian Mycology Congress (EMC 2026)](https://emc2026.trakya.edu.tr/), hosted by Trakya University.

The congress will bring researchers, students, and professionals working in mycology and related fields together, providing an opportunity to share research and ideas, exchange knowledge and experience, and build connections for future collaboration.

Representing the HUH, Donald H. Pfister, Asa Gray Research Professor of Systematic Botany and Curator of the Farlow Library and Herbarium (Emeritus), will give a virtual keynote presentation titled “Collections: Past, Present, and Future.” His talk will highlight the continuing importance of biological collections and their evolving role in mycological research.
