## **Citations**

To cite book or journal material referenced, quoted, or reproduced, please use your publisher’s style guide. For example, a book may be cited as:

- Mauseth, J. D. (2013). Plants &amp; people. Jones &amp; Bartlett Learning.

To cite rare books, use your publisher's style guide but include additional information, such as the call number and the library collection, that helps identify the unique copy you are referencing. For example,

- Rodrigues, J. Barbosa. Iconographie des orchidées du Brésil: dessings originaux. 1869-1888. Fol. 1 R63. Oakes Ames Orchid Library, Botany Libraries, Harvard University.
- Egenolff, Christian. For archival material, please use your publisher's style guide. If you are not using a style manual, the Botany Libraries asks that researchers cite all archival material referenced, quoted, or reproduced with the following citation format:

\[Item title, date\]. \[Collection title, collection dates\]. \[Call number\]. \[Box number, Folder number\]. Botany Libraries, Harvard University.

For example, an item from the Roland Thaxter papers would be cited as:
