Harvard Papers in Botany

Initiated in 1989, Harvard Papers in Botany is a refereed journal that welcomes longer monographic and floristic accounts of plants and fungi, as well as papers concerning economic botany, the history of botany, and relevant and significant bibliographies.

Manuscripts, including tables and figures, should be submitted on a CD or DVD, or via email to the Assistant Editor. The text should be in a major word-processing program in either Microsoft-Windows or Apple-Macintosh format. Authors should include a formatted printout on which the approximate locations of tables and figures are indicated along the margin. Please note, authors writing monographs should include an index to numbered specimens at the end of their papers. Authors should also complete and submit the Submission Checklist.

Harvard Papers in Botany is undergoing changes in formatting and layout. The June 2007 issue represents these changes and can be used as a reference for contributors. The HPB deadline for submission for the December 2007 issue is past. Submissions received after August 1st will be printed upon acceptance in the June 2008 issue. HPB reserves the right to print late submissions in the December issue at the discretion of the staff.
