Research Interests:

I am a biologist with research interests ranging from plant ecology and biogeography to molecular phylogenetics and bioinformatics. I am currently based in Bogor, Indonesia, and am committed to helping conserve the magnificent forests of Southeast Asia, and to the development of local scientists. I am supported by The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, and work with the Asian program of the Center for Tropical Forest Science. My wife, Kinari, is a physician and runs a combined health and conservation project in West Borneo.
