Listed below are the genera that are found in the files of EWG. They are listed in alphabetical order and contain the approximate number of folders within each genus. For most of the genera, there are separate folders for each species. Some species files contain many items and are broken down into multiple folders. There is a wide range of information held by the folders. Some folders contain as little as one drawing, a few slides or a description. Other folders may contain many types of materials including: correspondence, a bibliography, list of illustrations, list of synonymy, photocopied descriptions and articles, handwritten notes, drawings, copies of herbarium specimens, pressed specimens, photos, and slides.
