Map Case
These are proofs of illustrations by both Joseph Bridgham and L. C. C. Krieger for Icones Farlowianae. Many include notes in Farlow' hand regarding name of specimen, collection information, etc.

Boxes 14-17
Box 14 - Agaricus through Cantharellus. These files containes notes, sketches, and sometimes spore prints for each name.
Box 15 - Claudonia through Leptoma. These files containes notes, sketches, and sometimes spore prints for each name.
Box 16 - Lepiota through Xeromphalina. These files containes notes, sketches, and sometimes spore prints for each name.
Box 17 - 2 small files of items that were lithographed and items that were not lithographed. These are note cards only and do not contain sketches or spore prints.

Box 18A
Farlow experimented with photographic reproduction and many of the fungi were so documented. Gelatin or "dry" plate negatives were used. See also Louis Charles Christopher Krieger (1873-1940) Glass Plate Negatives for more of the glass plate negatives used in creating Icones Farlowianae

Box 18B
When photographs were used in the creation of a plate, the most representative were often chosen by Farlow and mounted on heavy stock paper to create a mockup. These mockups highlighted different aspects of the specimen. They were annotated by Farlow with the name of the collector and date collected as well as which negatives were used to create the mockup.
