Bibliography
of Published Collections (Exsiccatae)
& Their Institutional Locations
Updated R.K.Edgar, 11 March 2008
Locations of diatom published exsiccatae listed here are based mostly on Stafleu & Cowan's Taxonomic Literature - II [TL-2], Holmgren et al.'s Index Herbariorum, and de Wolf & Sterrenberg's International Survey of Diatom Collections (2003). Some entries in the International Survey of Diatom Collections suggest, but are not explicit, that a particular published exsiccatae is held, so I have noted those institutional acroynms with a question mark, e.g., RO?. At present the diatom published exsiccatae listed here are limited to those for which the Farlow Herbarium (FH) has copies.
