Hours
- The Botany Libraries have two reading rooms. The Main Reading Room is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, except for university holidays. The Farlow Library Reading Room, located in the Farlow Herbarium building, is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Materials from the Farlow may be retrieved and used in the Main Reading Room from 12:00 p.m. through 4:30 p.m.
Archives appointments are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

How to request a tour of the Harvard University Herbaria and the Botany Libraries
The Harvard University Herbaria and the Botany Libraries may offer educational tours of their facilities to small groups. To request a tour, please contact huh-requests@oeb.harvard.edu, and provide the following information. Requests should be submitted at least two months in advance of the proposed date.
- Preferred date and time
Duration
Number of attendees
Focus and purpose of visit
Interests/background knowledge/age group
Is handicapped access needed?
Is the group also planning to visit to the glass models at the Harvard Museum of Natural History (http://www.hmnh.harvard.edu)?
Requests will be reviewed and responded to in a timely fashion. If the tour is approved, the applicant will be contacted to plan the details of the event.
