Hours

The Botany Libraries have two reading rooms. The Main Reading Room is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, except for university holidays. The Farlow Library Reading Room, located in the Farlow Herbarium building, is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Materials from the Farlow may be retrieved and used in the Main Reading Room from 12:00 p.m. through 4:30 p.m.
Archives appointments are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

How to request a tour of the Harvard University Herbaria and the Botany Libraries

The Harvard University Herbaria and the Botany Libraries may offer educational tours of their facilities to small groups. To request a tour, please contact huh-requests@oeb.harvard.edu, and provide the following information. Requests should be submitted at least two months in advance of the proposed date.
Preferred date and time
Duration
Number of attendees
Focus and purpose of visit
Interests/background knowledge/age group
Is handicapped access needed?
Is the group also planning to visit to the glass models at the Harvard Museum of Natural History (http://www.hmnh.harvard.edu)?

Requests will be reviewed and responded to in a timely fashion. If the tour is approved, the applicant will be contacted to plan the details of the event.
